Had the most amazing stay here. Staff have been exceptionally friendly. The room was large, nice, and clean with good amenities. The restaurant has been the best bit with an exceptional roast lamb. And the complimentary breakfasts in the morning have been top class. Will be making the 9 hour drive again to stay
Would definitely recommend the deluxe rooms. The rooms with the balconies are not as nice. The food OMG the fish and chips were the best I have ever tasted. The staff super attentive and friendly.
From the moment we walked in, Lesley made us feel completely at home. She had that perfect blend of professionalism and personality that you rarely find. She was attentive without ever being intrusive—always one step ahead when it came to offering the next drink, while managing to keep the bar spotless and welcoming throughout a busy night. What really stood out was her energy and banter. She didn’t just serve drinks—she created an atmosphere. Everyone at the bar felt seen and taken care of, and it was clear that her warmth and charm were a big reason why the place had such a good vibe. This was my first time here, but it definitely won’t be the last. I think I’ve found my new local—and Lesley played a huge role in that. I genuinely believe she has a bright future ahead of her, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her in a management position soon. She’s a real asset to Cults Hotel, and I hope her hard work is recognised by the team. Thanks again, Lesley—you made our night!
Had a great stay here on our way back from Scotland. Rooms were large, clean and just outside the city centre so the traffic was light and quiet.
If this was a review for only the food, it’d be a 5, however our waiter forgot to put our food order on and it was only when we asked how much longer it would be after waiting for nearly an hour that they realised the mistake. They were apologetic and offered a complimentary round of drinks while we waited for the food, but for none of the staff to notice that we’d been sitting without any food for a period of time was disappointing and put a damper on the birthday celebrations. We then asked for some bread while waiting (it was nearly 9pm at this point) and were presented with some sliced bread which was a strange choice. The food itself was delicious, but we were so hungry by the time it arrived that we didn’t take the time to enjoy it properly and everyone ended up eating in silence. Based purely on the food, we would come back again, but hopefully with a less forgetful server the next time.

We went for a family lunch today and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and desserts. Highly recommended the chicken linguine, chicken pie and breaded fish and chips. The hot chocolate was also delicious as was the tablet on the side. Service was good and all staff were friendly. My 6 year old even asked if we can go back soon! All in all definitely worth a trip.
A great spot for lunch or dinner, convenient for shopping at Cults and close to Aberdeen. Very good and varied menu, excellent staff and a very pleasant atmosphere in the bar and also the conservatory for dining.
